Rising metalcore band, The Devil Wears Prada, have announced Roadrunner Records as their new worldwide label, excluding North America. Ferret/Roadrunner Records will release the band’s fourth full-length album on September 12th 2011. Earlier this year, the band toured Europe as support for Bring Me the Horizon as well as a run of dates including Rock Am Ring / Rock Im Park and Download Festival main stage – “ …they set out their stall and deliver just what they promise” Kerrang.
The Devil Wears Prada recently finished recording its latest album with producer Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage). "Born to Lose”, the first song to be released from the album, was exclusively premiered on Alternative Press's website last week. Log onto www.altpress.com to check it out.
Mike Hranica described the album by commenting, "The new record contains the heavy aspects of the Zombie EP, meshed with the melody of the full lengths. ‘Born To Lose’captures some of those elements and serves as a comprehensive preview to the album. By all means I'd call it our most emotional, well-written album to date."
The Devil Wears Prada, who were voted Band of the Year by the readers of Alternative Press, are Mike Hranica, Jeremy DePoyster (guitar/vocals), Chris Rubey (guitar), Andy Trick (bass), James Baney (keys) and Daniel Williams (drums). They’ve appeared on the covers of Outburn, HM, AMP,Revolver and Alternative Press and released albums in 2006 -“Dear Love, A Beautiful Discord” ; 2007 - “Plagues” and 2009 – “With Roots Above and Branches Below”. The band’s “Zombie EP” was released in fall of 2010.
“With Roots Above and Branches Below” debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard Top 200 album charts and in September of last year, “Zombie EP” made the highest chart debut of the band’s career, entering the Billboard Top 200 charts at No. 10. The EP also debuted in the Number One position on the Billboard Hard Music chart, and at #2 on Billboard's Independent Chart.
